Just Starting

Hello All,

So I started this new blog today to keep track of my new professional life. I just started as an intern for The Research Triangle Park Foundation, and I want to use this space to let everyone know what I am doing, but as well keep some posted on what RTP is doing.

For those of you who do not know, RTP is a research park center that hosts companies that have made great strides in technology, health research, etc. My position has taught me a lot about what goes on in RTP, so from time to time, I will give some promotion to RTP.

As for me, being an intern is way better than I thought it would be. You always hear these horror stories of interns being treated like garbage, but so far I actually feel that I serve a good purpose. My ideas are respected, and it has been nice. I am currently apart of a World AIDS Days event. Again, to promote RTP, a lot of strides have been made here in HIV/AIDS research. I recently learned AZT was developed here.
